From 2 till 4 I was teaching my mate Rick a level 1 at 'The Hook' on some RRD widestyle hovercraft-like beginners board with a 3.8 sail. 'The Hook' is a fantastic beginners area, shallow and protected, and the board hire was FREE courtesy of www.windance.com. While Rick was doing his thing, I enjoyed pratting about doing freestyle on the hovercraft, those things are almost impossible to fall from.

All the while the wind was blowing well, and I was looking forward to MY playtime at 4.30.

Needless to say, the inevitable happened...

Payed my $3 and launched from the Event Site, but it was too late. Schlogged up & down a couple of times but there was now only about 5kts of breeze. B*gger! Still, tacked the carve twice in a row with the 6.8 without falling off, and uphauled OK loads of times.

Took about an hour to derig in the blistering heat, availed myself of the cold shower frequently.
